In the second quarter of 2025, the top maps and navigation applications in the United Arab Emirates showed varied performance trends in terms of downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Careem: Rides, Food & more saw consistent weekly download numbers, peaking at around 36.7K in late April. Its active users started at 883.8K, increased to over 1M by early April, and fluctuated throughout the quarter, ending at approximately 983.7K.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a steady decline in downloads over the quarter, from 24.9K in early April to 18.7K by the end of June. Active users showed a similar pattern, with numbers starting at 680.6K, dropping to 609.7K by the end of June.

Yango: taxi, food, delivery maintained stable download figures, reaching a peak of 16.3K at the end of June. Active users increased steadily, starting at 60.3K and peaking at 91.1K in mid-June before ending the quarter at 85.2K.
